Habersham County Medical Center’s Pain Management Services is dedicated to helping acute and chronic pain sufferers gain control of their pain. The team includes specialists from orthopedic medicine, anesthesiology, nursing and physical therapy, who work together to effectively address the complexity of chronic pain, which many patients have endured for months or years.
Treatment strategies are designed to meet each individuals needs and can include the following services:
Interventional Therapies - pain injections such as lumbar, thoracic or cervical epidural steroid injections; radio frequency procedures; facet blocks, selective nerve root blocks and khphoplasty (repair of fractured vertebrae).
Physical Therapy - Our staff works with patients to help them adapt to their workplaces, homes and daily living activities to maximize their abilities. Physical Therapy also offers aquatic therapy in a heated pool at the Fulbright Aquatic Center in Clarkesville.
Medications
Self-care, Patient Education and Close Coordination and Communication with the patient’s pain management care physician.
Services are offered on an outpatient basis by Primary Care Physician referral.
