At the heart of Habersham County Medical Center is our commitment to community service. As a not-for-profit organization, our mission is to provide quality health care in a compassionate and economical manner to all persons in northeast Georgia regardless of their social status or income.
Rising health care costs combined with decreases in Medicare and insurance reimbursements challenges health care providers. Today, many small rural hospitals, such as HCMC, lack the capital to invest in innovative equipment, facility upgrades and expansion of services.
To ensure that HCMC remains at the forefront of medical advances and technology, the HCMC Foundation, Inc. was established in July 2001. As a registered 501(c)3 charitable organization, the Foundation is governed by a volunteer board of directors and is committed to building financial partnerships with individuals, community organizations and businesses.
Contributions are tax deductible as provided by law and may be made in several forms:
cash
real estate
life insurance and bequests
charitable gift annuities or charitable remainder trusts
